Copenhagen
Even those who are not football fans do remember the red "Danish Dynamite" of 1992. Denmark came to participate in the European football Championship finals in 1992 by a lucky chance, but it was not a lucky chance that brought them to the cup. It was the "red" spirit of Denmark. This is not the red of the Spanish wine, nor the red of the French Revolution, neither the red of your cheeks in the Swiss Alps. It could be only felt in Copenhagen. The blue of Copenhagen warms up as it has done with sailors coming back to the smooth waves of the Copenhagen harbor to walk home along Amaliehaven's waterfront. The endless blue of the sea that always brings you home, this is the blue of Copenhagen. You can sit at a bench at Kongens Nytorv square in Spring and watch the graduating students dance together, hand in hand, in a circle around the statue to celebrate one of the oldest Copenhagen graduation traditions. Like everything in that city, tradition is free and joyful. And if you catch a glance of a young dancing girl’s eyes, it will be still there - the blue of Copenhagen.
The green of Copenhagen surely smoothes the senses, in a very singular way. Dare visiting the church of Assistens Kirkegard and the surrounding graveyard with its vast green areas. There are no spooky noises and dark muddy frightening corners. Ask Copenhageners who love taking a sunbath beside the grave of a famous person… and they have favorite ones! Copenhagen lives in comfort and serenity - with life and death, with future and traditions. In its own green fairy tale, imagined by Andersen and sentenced by Kirgegaard. The city where rainbow will take you, the harbor where mermaids guard the anchors of the boats, the mirror where Andersen’s Snow Queen will show you a different vision of the world, in serenity, spirit and charm.
